The reason 19th century management techniques are no longer used is because they limit an employee’s ability to be creative. A manager can always badger an employee to get the work done. In return, an employee will just give just enough to get through his or her day so as to not get noticed. A business can function that way but it cannot thrive. Here at Dymin we allow our people to reach their own potential. And of course we pay them for it. Three of our own departments have been dreamed up and then created by employees. Our philosophy is that if you can show us how we can profit by selling hamster food then we may look into a hamster food department.
